Nycki and I were talking this morning that I want to be part of a Flash Mob SO bad! I was watching the KU/MU game when Twitter went nuts about a Flash Mob taking place in the stands. Of course ESPN was in a commercial so I felt like I was missing out on the fun, but they showed part of it coming back from the break and it looked amazing.
JBB on Flash Mobs, etc:
When I came in this morning someone sent me this link to watch it on YouTube. UPDATE: video embedded below:
Now, a lot of people were left asking, what is a Flash Mob? The best I can describe is when a group of strangers are called together through the internet or some other underground means, to come together at a specific time and place where they perform a certain task: a dance, a song, etc; when they finish their performance - be it 5 minutes or a few hours - they all go their separate ways and seem to resume their normal demeanor as if nothing had happened. To the people who happened to be in that store or park or wherever the "mob" was taking place at the time, it would seem as if this huge group of people stormed in, knew how to perform in unison, then scram. Hence the name: Flash Mob.
I've been following Flash Mobs for about 10 years now but most of them have seemed a product of the East Coast. Good to see we're finally coming around. Now, I want to BE IN ONE so badly I can taste it. Let's organize one! E-MAIL ME and let's get one going.
Now, if you want the BEST in Flash Mobs, look to these guys, Improv Everywhere from New York. They are a performance troupe who specializes in Flash Mobs and they are brilliant. Here's what we were talking about on the show this morning: The No-Pants Subway Ride. Watch it then go to their website, you'll spend all day laughing your butt off!

Mark Hammill Look-Alike Uses Force On Today Show
Check out the little guy who plays Darth Vader in the best Super Bowl ad this year! His name is Max and, as Meredith and Matt point out, he is a cool dude who's appeared in other commercial campaigns and is living with a congenital heart defect that forces him to wear a pacemaker.
A great backstory to go with a great commercial. Enjoy:
